CSD Smart Card Apply Online & Offline – Complete 2026 Guide

The CSD Smart Card is issued for eligible defence personnel, ex-servicemen, widows and dependents. Below is the updated 2026 application process including documents, fees and eligibility rules.

Online Process (Recommended)

  1. Visit official CSD Smart Card portal.
  2. Register using PAN number and verify OTP.
  3. Fill service and PPO details.
  4. Upload Aadhaar, PAN, PPO and photos.
  5. Pay fee online and submit.
  6. Track using reference number.

Delivery: 15–30 days via courier.

Photo Rules

  • Serving Member: 1 passport photo.
  • Serving Member + Wife: 1 single + 1 joint photo.
  • Widow: 1 single photo.
  • Dependents: Single photo only.

Offline Process (Through URC)

  • Use BLACK pen only.
  • Fill form in capital letters.
  • Attach self-attested documents.
  • Submit at nearest URC.

  • Aadhaar copy
  • PAN copy
  • PPO / Discharge Book / Release Order copy
  • Photos as per rules

Dependent Rules

  • Son: Up to 25 years (dependent).
  • Disabled Child: No age limit (certificate required).
